Richard Edlund, ASC, is VFX supervisor and inventor best known for his work on STAR WARS, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, POLTERGEIST, RETURN OF THE JEDI, GHOSTBUSTERS, DIE HARD, and GHOST, among many others. He was a founding member of Industrial Light & Magic and has won two competitive Oscars, three Special Achievement Awards, two Scientific and Technical Awards, and the Academy's Medal of Commendation, along with two BAFTAS, an Emmy, the ASC President's Award, and the Visual Effects Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.
