Veteran animator Chris Sanders returned to the medium in which he made his name for the first time in a decade with THE WILD ROBOT. A visionary achievement about chosen family, motherhood, and the essential bonds shared by all living creatures, Sanders has once again created a work full of child-like wonder, profound empathy, and a typically resplendent visual style. Beautifully paced by editor Mary Blee and featuring an all-timer of a voice performance from Lupita Nyong’o, THE WILD ROBOT is a new film that already feels like a classic.
