The world was not ready for JENNIFER’S BODY in 2009. This Diablo Cody-scripted, Karyn Kusama-directed film about a possessed teen girl and her friend was so far ahead of its time that its studio, critics, and audiences didn’t quite know what to make of it. However, after the MeToo movement hit, everyone started to catch up and it underwent a critical reappraisal and developed a cult following. As directed by the reliably excellent Kusama and cut by her longtime editor Plummy Tucker, JENNIFER’S BODY is a subversive, devilishly funny vision of the horrors men wreak on teenage girls.

Karyn Kusama is a filmmaker known for directing DESTROYER, THE INVITATION, JENNIFER'S BODY, ÆON FLUX, and GIRLFIGHT (Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner). For her work on the hit TV series YELLOWJACKETS, she was nominated for two Emmy Awards.

Plummy Tucker, ACE, is a film editor best known for her longtime collaboration with Karyn Kusama on DESTROYER, THE INVITATION, JENNIFER'S BODY, ÆON FLUX, and GIRLFIGHT. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for TOO BIG TO FAIL.
